Copernica Marketing Software data still secure
This morning the weblog of the popular Dutch website Fok posted a message about a Copernica user. When modifying their website a small security issue occurred which resulted in accidentally publishing a list with e-mail addresses online. The problem is now solved and the list is offline.
The list was exported from Copernica Marketing Software and placed on their own webserver. The security of Copernica Marketing Software was never violated and the contact information stored therein is still safe.
It's an unfortunate event, but it's a proper warning to everyone who uses files with personal data: Keep an eye on your security.
Read the message on the Fok weblog (Dutch only).
